Comp1 Dominates WDMC Training Test Targa with Flawless Performance

Comp1 delivered a masterclass in precision driving to claim victory at the WDMC Training Test Targa, finishing with a commanding overall time of 352 seconds. The winner established dominance early in the competition and maintained a consistent lead throughout the six-test event.

The battle for the top positions was particularly intense in the opening tests, with Comp3 showing exceptional pace initially, recording the fastest time in Test 1 with just 35 seconds. However, Comp1 responded brilliantly in Test 2, moving into the lead with a combined time of 82 seconds compared to Comp3’s 95 seconds – a gap that would prove decisive.

By the conclusion of Test 4, the top five positions had crystallised with Comp1 leading, followed by Comp3, while Comp10, Comp19, and Comp2 were tied for third place with identical times of 120 seconds. The final two tests saw competitors maintaining their relative positions, though the time gaps widened as the event progressed.

In Class 2, which featured the event’s quickest competitors, Comp1’s victory was complemented by Comp3’s strong second-place finish. Comp10, Comp19, and Comp2 rounded out the top five, all finishing with identical times of 420 seconds.

Class 1 saw Comp5 emerge victorious with a time of 806 seconds, maintaining a 30-second advantage over the chasing pack of Comp6, Comp13, Comp14, and Comp20, who all finished on 836 seconds.

Class 4 featured a solid performance from Comp4, who finished with 556 seconds, comfortably ahead of the quartet of Comp9, Comp11, Comp16, and Comp17, all recording 615 seconds.

The Class 3 competition ended with a remarkable statistical oddity, as all five competitors – Comp7, Comp8, Comp12, Comp18, and Comp15 – finished with identical times of 960 seconds, suggesting either extremely consistent driving or perhaps timing issues in this class.

The event highlighted the importance of early pace and consistency across all tests, with the final standings largely reflecting the positions established in the first half of the competition.
